Reboot Recycling is uses a four step process, first salvaging equipment that has not yet reached the end of its life, and reselling that equipment as whole pieces. Secondly, Reboot will dismantle equipment that may contain useful products as pieces rather than an whole item. Thirdly, Reboot has a donation process in place for non profits who would be interested in receiving computers or other electronic items as they are available. In the last step, any remaining product is shipped to upstream recyclers to dismantle and recycle for scrap. We use upstream recyclers, all in the state of Wisconsin, and are on the Wisconsin DNR list of approved collectors. All hard drives are erased in a department of defense approved manner, and can be shredded upon request.
